THESE SHINING LIVES by Melanie Marnich

Presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service

November 16th, 17th, 23rd, and 24th @ 7:00 PM

November 18th and 25th @ 2:00 PM

THESE SHINING LIVES chronicles the strength and determination of four women considered expendable in their day who worked at a watch factory. Their job was to paint numbers on timepieces using a radium compound that glows in the dark.  Catherine and her friends are dying, its true; but theirs is a story of survival in its most transcendent sense as they refuse to allow the company that stole their health to kill their spirits.

Melanie Marnich is an American playwright and television writer best known for her work on the HBO drama BIG LOVE which earned her a Writers Guild of America (WGA) Award nomination in 2010.  Marnich also frequently writes plays for American regional theatres.
